Désirée Ratner, M.D. is in private practice in New York City and serves as Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
Dr. Ratner graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and did her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She subsequently completed a two year fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery at New England Medical Center and the Lahey Clinic.
Dr. Ratner served as Director of Dermatologic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center of the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for over 15 years, and as Director of the Comprehensive Skin Cancer Center at Mount Sinai Beth Israel for over five years.
She is Co-Editor of the Dermatologic Surgery Journal and Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has over 130 publications and has done numerous national and international presentations.
She specializes in the management of patients with high-risk skin cancers and Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
She has been has been listed in New York Magazine's Best Doctors from 2014-2023, in Super Doctors (NY Times Magazine) from 2009-2023, and in Castle Connolly's Best Doctors since 2006.
